The Ugly Duckling Series
There is a core aspect of a woman's psyche called the Mother Complex. This complex includes the Ambivilent Mother, Collapsed Mother, and the Unmothered Mother. They represent the internalized versions of our own mother and the cultural ideas of motherhood. We each have an unbroken chain of what it means to be a mother/woman within us. Part of our process as women is to identify, embrace, and claim our own individual female nature.
The Ugly Duckling Series
When we find our people, our tribe, when we find acceptance both outward and inner, we have come home. We can relax and discover why we are here. We can thrive!
The Ugly Duckling Series
We are willing to be found when we begin the process of transitioning from exile to acceptance--when we decide to accept our own beauty. Clarissa Pinkola Estes states that, "... the final work of the exile who finds her own: (is) to not only accept one's own individuality but also... the shape of one's soul." In essence, when we begin believing in our own worth, in our reason to be, we are lead to acceptance and a willingness to be found.
